Sagres Fortress, constructed by the orders of Henry the Navigator, is located in the southwesternmost part of Europe. It is from where he set to explore the new world. Isolation of its location is emphasised by breathtaking scenery of vast open spaces and dramatic cliffs vanishing into the ocean. For many centuries this place and its significant position was perceived as the limit of our world. For daredevils of the past this was the getaway to travel beyond the limits and push back the frontiers.
Just like all great explorers I came to what was known as the limit of the old world and the spirit of the explorer within me was awaking. Standing at the very edge of the old continent watching the waves crashing against the cliffs I could feel the sense of adventure of our pre accessors. It never comes without doubts of the unknown but sometimes we have to face our fears and listen to our heart to see the world without the limits.
